As RAD Manager at British Rail, Barbara ran one of the 6 early adopter projects for Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM) in 1994, to demonstrate and prove the effectiveness of the best practice encapsulated in DSDM theory. Since then, Barbara has driven the agile transformation of a number of large organisations in different industry sectors, such as finance, insurance, manufacturing, transport, telecommunication and education, working both on- and off-shore. Barbara was a driving force for the creation of AgilePM, the Project Management subset of DSDM Atern, which was launched in 2010 with APMG International to provide knowledge and certification in how to manage Agile projects. She is highly qualified in DSDM (Advanced Practitioner, Trainer, Coach, Examiner and Consultant – one of the 9 certified DSDM Consultants worldwide). Barbara has also been an elected director of the DSDM Consortium for many years and is DSDM Director for Professional Development, and also a Certified Scrum Practitioner, as well as being a Certified Professional Facilitator and an Agile Leader Advanced Practitioner.
