Manuel Pais: Co-author of the industry changing book “Team Topologies”, Manuel is on a mission to both make work more humane and businesses more valuable to customers. Manuel delivers motivational keynotes and practical masterclasses on the principles and practices for fast flow that resonate across the organization, from C-level executives to the teams on the ground. He has also helped several Fortune 500 companies pave the path for accelerated value delivery via strategic & organizational assessments.

On the product side, Manuel has led the creation and evolution of the Team Topologies Academy providing online, worldwide access to the latest insights around fast flow, and Teamperature, the industry leading model for assessing and managing team cognitive load.

Manuel has been in the industry since 2000, having worked as a developer, tester, release manager and team lead before he started consulting on DevOps and Continuous Delivery in 2015. Since the book’s publication in 2019, Manuel has helped small and large organizations across multiple industries improve their software delivery but especially align organization’s technical and social systems through an understanding of constraints to flow like Conway’s Law, Team Cognitive Load, or Trust Boundaries.

Manuel holds a BSc in Computer Science from the Instituto Superior Técnico and an MSc in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
